Pricks and Pragmatism

Picture

*Easy come, easy go…until the heart gets involved.*

Luke, a student at Southampton University, is ambitious, driven and talented.  He likes the good things in life, like handsome older men with plenty of money to spend on him.  But when an arrangement ends three weeks before finals he needs somewhere to stay, fast.  He's even prepared to accept an offer from a bearded, geeky engineer.
But Russell seems determined not to take advantage of Luke.  So why is Luke so desperate for that to change?

Available in multi-format ebook and on Kindle.  Read an excerpt.

- this story works - beautifully so - Mrs Giggles

 - a pretty terrific, well written story about looking below the surface to find love. If you’re looking for an entertaining story with likeable characters, then you can’t go wrong with Pricks and Pragmatism. – Jenre, on Three Dollar Bill Reviews  (awarded 4.5 stars)

- a delightful and absorbing read. Luke will warm your heart while Russell is adorable as geek... I think it’ll be a big hit with romance fans. - Kassa, on Jessewave's blog.

A well developed plot, compelling characters, and excellent writing prove to be a winning combination. Pricks and Pragmatism by J.L. Merrow is a refreshing story about love and redemption. The ending will tug at the heartstrings, but it will also leave a smile on the reader’s face – Whipped Cream Reviews (awarded Best Book)

the writing is flawless and compelling, it features three of my favorite romance tropes: virgin hero, slutty hero and ugly duckling, and both leads are likeable. Overall a very engaging story – Grade 4.5.  - Brie at Romance Around the Corner.
